Thousands laid off at 38 PA companies in first half of 2017

From PennLive.com

In the first six months, more than 30 companies in Pennsylvania have announced major layoffs through the WARN (the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) Act. WARN notices were issued in the midstate in the Harrisburg, Lewisberry, Middletown, Carlisle, York, Lancaster and Mechanicsburg areas. Enforcement of the WARN Act falls under U.S. Department of Labor jurisdiction, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry website.
