Technology company billionaire to move headquarters to Pittsburgh, offering what Mayor Peduto says is ‘potential’ to employ hundreds, if not thousands

While Pittsburgh waits for a verdict from Amazon on whether to set up a headquarters here, billionaire Thomas Tull has already cast his vote for the city.

The former CEO of Legendary Pictures said at his Edgeworth home on Thursday that he and his family would be moving here from Los Angeles full time and that his holding company, Tulco, will be headquartered here as well.

“We are very excited about it,” said Mr. Tull, who is selling his LA home. “It’s no secret how much I like Pittsburgh.” “This has felt for a very long time to me like home. I love this city and we are excited about raising our children here.”

Already a minority owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers and owner of Rivendale Farm in Washington, Pa., Mr.Tull is fully committing to his adopted city.
