Call for Workshop Proposals
PWDA is requesting proposals for workshops from industry leaders to be presented at the annual conference. Workshops will be topic-specific instruction taught by subject matter experts designed to build participant’s skills or instruct how to replicate a successful program with the benefit of lessons learned. 

Examples of timely topics to address include the following:
  • Providing Excellent Customer Service
  • Business Services/Employer Engagement
  • Working with the Immigrant Workforce
  • Serving WIOA Priority of Service Customers / Individuals with Barriers
  • Successful Grant Writing
  • Cost Saving Best Practices
  • WIOA Fiscal Administration
  • Working with Libraries and Other PA CareerLink Partners
  • Use of Customer Centered Design Process
  • Recruiting & Serving Out of School Youth
  • Working with K-12 Schools
  • Partnering with Career & Technical Centers
  • Apprenticeships
  • Career Pathways
  • Workforce and Economic Development Partnerships
  • Industry Partnerships
  • Integrating Services in the PA CareerLink
  • Leveraging Funds from Multiple Sources 
  • Virtual Service Delivery Strategies
  • Regional Collaboration

Vendor Information
PWDA invites you to become an advertiser, exhibitor or sponsor for the 2017 annual conference.  Maximize your exposure to nearly 1,000 participants, including workforce and employment professionals, educators and trainers, employers, officials from the U.S. Department of Labor and PA Departments of Labor & Industry, Human Services, Community and Economic Development, Education, Aging and others .

Hotel Reservations
All conference events will be held at the Hershey Lodge. To make hotel reservations and receive the conference rate of $162 (single or double) plus tax, use the lodge link or call 1-855-729-3108 . Indicate that you are with the PA Workforce Development Association 2017 Annual Conference. Reservations must be made on or before April 10, 2017 to receive the PWDA rate.
