Bi-partisan CAREER Act introduced by Ohio, Colorado Senators
Senators Rob Portman (R-OH) and Michael Bennet (D-CO) introduced a workforce reform bill known as the Careers through Responsive, Efficient and Effective Retraining (CAREER) Act. The Act is designed to streamline dozens of federal workforce programs while giving community colleges and career technical institutions priority access to funding. NSC: Workforce funds likely cut for rest of 2013
According to the Training and Empoyment Notice (TEN) published by the US Department of Labor last week, workforce funding will be cut for the remainder of the Fiscal Year 2013.
